Real world payments

Ribbit will allow users to use their crypto for everyday expenses. This means users can pay for real-world goods and services without needing to convert their assets manually or move them to a traditional bank. Everything will happen directly from within the Ribbit wallet.

To support this, Ribbit will partner with licensed payment processors and financial institutions that specialize in crypto-to-fiat infrastructure. These partnerships will enable users to spend stablecoins like USDC for regular payments. Whenever a user makes a purchase, the crypto will be converted into local currency in the background and settled at the point of sale.

Users will be able to pay for things like:

  • Online shopping

  • Food delivery and restaurants

  • Transportation and fuel

  • Subscriptions and utility bills

  • Travel bookings such as flights and hotels

  • Mobile top-ups and entertainment services

The idea is to bring real-world usability to crypto, without adding complexity. Users can track their spending inside the app, manage balances, and choose how much they want to convert. There will be no need to go through an exchange or transfer funds to another app.

This feature helps Ribbit become more than a crypto tool. It becomes a financial gateway for users who want the benefits of Web3 while still living in a fiat-based economy. The app simplifies payments, keeps everything in one place, and removes the friction that has kept most users from spending their crypt
